Everything restarts when we wake up. Life is about being awake. Being awake is being alive.
There are times when you are awake yet you don’t feel alive. You feel something in you is missing. Your body is awake but something in you is still deep asleep.
That’s where being awake in the inner man comes in. What’s the inner man? Your spirit. It is what leads your mind and body. When it is not leading, you don’t feel awake. You don’t feel alive.
What you have to do is simple. You have to awaken your inner man. You have to awaken your leader within. Guess what, your inner man, your leader within, is simply a follower. It follows either a life-giving spirit or a life-taking spirit. I am sure that you want to follow a life-giving spirit. So to awaken your inner man, the leader within you, you have to let your inner man be a follower to the life-giving spirit.
To make it easier as a process, you can do this:
- Be AWARE of the life-giving spirit and the life-taking spirit.
- Be WATCHFUL to see the ways of the life-giving spirit and the life-taking spirit. Life-giving spirit makes your inner man filled with light, love, and joy. Life-taking spirit makes your inner man filled with darkness, self, and sorrow.
- ACCEPT the life-giving spirit to begin the practical process.
- Seek more KNOWLEDGE about the life-giving spirit. This knowledge helps you conquer the life-taking spirit that makes you feel like you are dead while you are alive.
- ENGAGE in the practice of life-giving leadership. Without the practice, you won’t get used to living the life of aliveness given by the life-giving leadership.
- NETWORK with others engaged in the principles and practices of life-giving leadership. By network, I don’t mean meeting, talking, and exchanging contact information. That’s secondary. I mean you have to work together with them to see the fruits of the practices.
Do these six things consistently, you will have your heart rebirthed. With time, your mind and your body will begin to follow your heart.
The leader within you is awakened by following the life-giving spirit.
