WHY DO YOU DO GOOD??

Most people derive great satisfaction from performing acts of kindness. For some others, they do these things to affirm their worth to themselves.
“Last week, I took a day off from work to help Mrs Mfon move into her new house. I even helped her dust and clean, therefore I’m valuable.”
No sweetheart!
Let your value come from a higher place. Let it stem from the knowledge and consciousness of who you are, in Christ.
It should not be based on the beneficiary good works you do. These should be seen as offshoots of who you are.
Because when you make it the bedrock and people stand in the way of your doing them, or they don’t appreciate them, what then happens to your self worth?

I am not volunteering at an NGO, just to increase my self worth. I volunteer there because my self worth is already high hence the confidence to take on new tasks.

It’s the consciousness of my true value that energizes me to do. And because my worth is not tied to whether I do or do not, I don’t take on responsibilities that choke life out of me.
I am a well of goodies and from there, I draw to give.
Get your value system right!
You are priceless and I love you!
Don’t forget to let your light shine!
