WELCOME TO LHB

I don’t like moving. The whole idea of packing properties into bags, moving and then unpacking, tires me. But when I finally do, I spend the hours afterwards familiarising myself with the environment. I love trying out new things but I still get the cold feet before the first step.

This is how I feel right now. This website is a dream come true; I spent months talking about wanting one, and then a friend gifted me with this —God bless you, Vic. Happy to finally begin, we spent the last month tweaking designs; adding this plugin, switching themes, creating categories, and now we’re ready to unveil. Prior to this season of life, I’ll spend another month and every available time, trying to set everything perfectly before showing it to you but I’ve learnt that there would never be that perfect moment, and things get better as we dutifully work at them.

I’m braving this; unveiling this beautiful imperfection, willing you to get comfortable as there’ll probably be more bold unveilings in the days ahead.
Every step you take in the direction of your purpose, brings you closer to all you’re meant to be. To start, you may not have all you need, the way you want them but if you dare the odds and begin, you’ll discover that the help you so desperately need, has been sitting pretty, waiting for you to begin. I learnt this in the time between when I started this blog on Blogger(lighthousebeams.blogspot.com), a year and half ago and now. The set up on Blogger wasn’t what I wanted. I love a bit of order, so I wanted my articles to be arranged in easy-to-view categories… that wasn’t easily obtainable. Still I had to begin. I needed to express my thoughts or they would choke me—okay, I’m being too dramatic. But I started. It’s all in that first step. I am here because of that first step.

The years on Blogger have taught me few lessons: I’ve tried to stick to schedules; I’ve had to fight depression which came as a result of feeling inadequate; I’ve learnt to write in themes; generally, my writing has become better by reason of use. This is what it’s all about, really. You’ll never get better nor will you learn anything new, if you don’t try. Start with what you’ve got and try to do your best with it.

I’m still learning a lot and there’s a lot more to do; we’re on a journey! I get the feeling that this welcome note has done it’s job, what do you think? Do you feel welcome? Can we be friends now? Do you feel comfortable enough? Too many questions? Hahaha

Stay around, I’d love to share more with you and I hope you never shy of using the comment box so I know what you’re thinking too.

Take a warm tour around this space and get comfortable with where things are found. You may want to subscribe; this way, we won’t let any article pass you by and yeah, we don’t spam.

You’re welcome to Light House Beams!

Our message is simple: let your light beam for others to see and draw inspiration! That’s the challenge. Do you like it? Me too.
I have to stop writing, so I can send this note out.

I love you!
You’re light, shine!
