INTRODUCING “TALES FROM AGBONLE”

“Hey Chisom, you’ve not been showing up online…what happened? I’ve missed you and your statuses and posts—”

Okay, you’ve got me teary. Stop. I’ve missed you too and it’s not as if I discovered the edge of the world and tipped over (although it feels like it sometimes, lol).

Neither am I shirking my e-responsibilities. What you’re seeing is simply a glimpse into the life of a village corper.

What if I told you that I can no longer browse in the comfort of my own room or any other comfy space? Aha! You’re surprised?

In the lodge, there’s a specific spot for that. And I mean it!

It has to be a certain window outside the rooms, and no, not the whole window space; there’s a particular spot…keep your phone on that pane and wait for it.

Oh! I forgot, reduce the 4G setting to ‘E’ and wait for the 2  network bars. Offer a prayer to the god of internet connection  and hope the day favours you. Then and only then are you connected to the global world. (You probably think I’m exaggerating, smh)

Now, nothing teaches patience more than that…and I’m sure it’s obvious I’ve not been taking that particular class. Lol

Does this paint some picture about my PPA (or ‘my village’ as I love to call it)? Haha. That’s not the full picture of Agbonle.

This place has taught me loads (in so short time) and keeps teaching. Some days it swings from being a rehabilitation centre to being a language school. I learn everyday and the writer keeps writing. *Winks

Would you love to read the diary of an Igbo girl in a Yoruba land(sometimes, I don’t even think we’re in Nigeria)?

Subscribe to this blog (if you haven’t) and keep a date with  me, every Friday night.

For you, I’ll learn patience.

Never forget that I love you.

Remember you’re light, keep shining!
